Maibock / Heller Bock
Pale strong lager · Munich & Franconia, Bavaria
Maibock — also called Heller Bock ("pale bock") — is the bright, strong bock brewed for spring, a deep-golden to amber German lager that keeps the full body and warming 6 to 8 percent alcohol of the bock family but trades the dark malt of a Doppelbock for a cleaner, honeyed, bready sweetness and a firmer, more assertive noble-hop bitterness.
