Kvass

Kvass is a traditional Slavic low-alcohol fermented beverage made from rye bread — dark, tangy and lightly fizzy — with a bready, sour-sweet malty character, faint yeasty and sourdough notes, and often a lift of raisins, mint or fruit, drunk as a refreshing summer thirst-quencher rather than as a beer.
