The hazy or New England IPA (NEIPA) is the soft, opaque, juicy face of the IPA family — a deliberately cloudy, low-bitterness ale dosed with enormous late and dry-hop charges so that it bursts with tropical and stone fruit, citrus and pith over a pillowy, oat-and-wheat-smoothed body, looking and drinking less like a bracing West Coast IPA than like a glass of cloudy fruit juice.
