Belgian Quadrupel is the strongest of the abbey ales — a deep mahogany to dark-brown Belgian dark strong ale, intensely malty and fruity, built on dark candi sugar for layers of raisin, fig, plum, toffee and rum, with a warming, almost port-like strength hidden beneath a soft, tan-headed body.
