The Praying Hands is an unusual cooking-and-dessert banana named for the way two adjacent hands of fruit grow fused together, their flat-sided fingers pressed back to back so the bunch looks like two hands clasped in prayer. It is a robust ABB-type clone with a thick skin and firm, faintly vanilla-scented flesh that is eaten ripe out of hand or cooked while still starchy.
