The Lady Finger, widely sold as the sugar banana or baby banana, is a small, short and slim dessert banana with a thin, bright-yellow skin and sweet, creamy, faintly tangy flesh. It belongs to the Sucrier group of diploid (AA) Musa acuminata bananas — among them the Southeast Asian Pisang Mas — and is denser, sweeter and more delicately flavoured than the long export Cavendish, eaten out of hand as a snack.
