Lamb Hass is a larger, later-cropping cousin of the classic Hass — a Hass-type avocado with the same dark, pebbly skin that blackens as it ripens, but on a noticeably bigger, more uniform fruit. Its thick pale-green flesh is rich, dense and buttery in the Hass mould, and it extends the Hass season into the summer and autumn months.
