Araza

Eugenia stipitata · Tropical fruit

Araza (Eugenia stipitata), also spelled arazá or araçá-boi, is an intensely fragrant, highly acidic Amazonian berry from a shrubby tree of the myrtle family (Myrtaceae). Too sour to enjoy raw, its yellow-orange pulp is prized across the western Amazon for juices, nectars, ice creams and jams.
