Amer Picon

Amer Picon is a French bitter (amer) aperitif, dark amber-brown in colour, built on a base of gentian and quinine with a pronounced candied bitter-orange character. Once bottled at strengths of around 39% ABV, the modern French formulas sit closer to 18–21% ABV; it is the traditional base of the Picon Bière and a key modifier in the Brooklyn cocktail.
